Two moveable weights in the clubhead allow you to shift the center of gravity as needed. Moving the weight toward the toe will encourage more fade; moving the weight to the heel encourages draws.
The R11S is an incredible driver for all levels of golfers, especially those who want the flexibility to adjust their driver on the fly based on swing changes or for different courses, but there is no single set of optimum settings — each tweak changes the way the driver works with your individual swing. Although this club is nothing short of amazing when used properly, it may cause many golfers to doubt their settings and end up frustrated as they constantly tweak and test.
Many golfers will be just as happy — and play just as well — with drivers that offer little to no customization. Keep in mind the R11S can be that as well, just leave the settings on factory neutral and go out and play. The driver felt alot different, felt really toe heavy. I normally hit a draw on all my clubs but I dont like it with the 10g in the toe, just feels too toe heavy. Actually feels alot better to me with the 10 in the heel.
Thinking of maybe trying the 6 g in the heel and 4g in the toe because sometimes I can overdraw it a bit but my swing speed and feel is much better with it more in the heel. I had 10g in the toe and 1g in the heel but switched to 6g in the heel and 4g in the toe and do like it better. It's nice to be able to tinker with different weights. You can pick up extras online or at GG. Each with an X TP shaft. I also have a Superfast 2. The SF 2. It's related to the shaft and the total weight.
The R11 is a heavier driver So, I removed the 10g weight and now have two 1g weights, essentially taking 9g off the total weight. The R11 feels more comparable to the SF 2.
I've only done this about a week ago and haven't gotten all the info I want yet having only played the R11 in this config a few times. R11 is a heavy driver. I had to replace the 10g with a 4g weight, with 4g toe and 1g heel.
I don't think all the R11s are heavy. Maybe an early batch was made heavier. I recommend adjusting the sole plate and trying different weights. Putting additional weight in the toe works to promote neutra to a fade when changing weights like I did putting a 14 g in there because it acts like a counterweight, per se', to prevent the face from closing as quickly.
I believe thats about grams also so these heads are weighing with stock weights at g for the 2 heads I have. So I would think the 10 in the toe would counter the g sleeve weight.
