After trying every combination of turn-the-device-off-and-on-again and trying to use the WPS button setup, and on advice from a friend, I went to I then went to the recover-your-password part of the page, typed in the serial number, and it wouldn't recognize the number to let me click next.
I've tried this on 3 browsers now. Am I doing something wrong? I really don't want to lose all my settings though. It's a complilcated network and would take several hours to reset. Have you tried to login by wifi the username and password that came with the router when you unboxed it may work if you have not change them.
I have the same issue now - my Virgin modem reset and went in to default mode, so now my Nighthawk has switched IP addresses to I'm having the same problem! I'm about ready to throw this product out the window and buy something else! I enter the serial , but it's not accepting it and letting me continue!! Is the Virgin modem a router as well if so the router may be acting as a router and not bridged now if you had in it before.
I am sorry to say the only way I got around this was a full RESET, but you can backup your settings first and import them back in to the router - This has worked for me in the past but last time this happened At Christmas I did a full reset and started afresh, I just took screenshots of my Wifi, Port forwarding etc, so it was easy to redo the configuration Use the Snipping Tool built in to windows, to make it easier or the one built in Firefox Quantum.
If you screenshot your config before resetting you should be ok to input the settings again? Log in to
